Would you use a system to manage supplier information if it was free and you could start using it today?

We've developed a system that doesn't have the obstacles normally associated with implementing a new business application. Find out how easy it is to start using Samson.
Whether it is your responsibility or another department within your organisation, obtaining and maintaining accurate supplier information is important to protect yourself, your vendor and those in the building(s) you are responsible for. Ensuring a supplier is competent and has the correct insurances, H&S practices etc. in place is also a legal requirement.
However, we realise that there could be several hurdles to get over before using any new business system which is why we've tried to make choosing Samson as easy as possible.
Let's take a closer look at these barriers and how Samson gets around them.
Budget
Let's start with the big one - money! When embarking on a new project, determining the cost and how the spend is going to be allocated among budgets when there is more than one department is probably the first headache to deal with.
Samson has a 'free for buyers' option and a 'free for suppliers' option. Neither require any payment up front. We know some of you feel uncomfortable charging suppliers to join your supply chain which is why we run the buyer licensing scheme.
Our 'free for buyers' option does involve the supplier paying, but it is just an annual fee of £195. There are no hidden extras or assessment fees and as it is your supplier, their chances of winning work are much higher than with other supply chain management systems, where suppliers sign up in the hope of attracting a buyer.

There is still the belief that introducing a new business system also means new hardware, networks and maintenance regimes. This will be down to your IT department to provide and set up and so you could be competing with other departments for their time and expertise. This could introduce further delay and cost to your project.
Samson belongs to a new class of system known as 'Software as a Service' (or SaaS). This means all you need is a computer and internet access. You should still seek IT approval but as they have already approved Samson's requirements (PC & Internet) this step usually gets instant approval.
